Nellie C. Taylor, 82, surrounded by her loving family, went to meet her Lord and Savior on the 28th day of October, 2012.

She was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma on April 18, 1930 to Ruby and Mike Carroll. She was the oldest of three children.

She married Claude Taylor on September 20, 1947 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. They had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.

She was in the real estate business for many years, and later owned and operated her own antique shop called Sweet Memories. She was a self-taught artist and her talents were many, but her greatest talent was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, Brother, Sister and Special Aunt, Lila.

She is survived by her Husband, Claude Taylor of the home, 2 Daughters and Son-In-Laws, Carolyn and Dan Welcher of Oklahoma City and Vicki and Lee Hayward of Shawnee; 1 Son and Daughter-¬In-Law, Steve and Jeannie Taylor of Shawnee; 7 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives.

She has been a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma, for the past 44 years, and her service will be held there on Thursday, November 1st at 2 o'clock with Pastor Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
