Born in Spartanburg on Saturday, October 11, 1958, she was the daughter of Henry and Betty Ruth Dodd Flynn of Boiling Springs.
She graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1976 and was a graduate of Converse College, Class of 1980, and was Payroll Analyst at KOSA.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Mary Green Sunday School Class, and the Prayer Team.
