Staunton, Ill.--Mrs. Anna Catherine Hebenstreit, 84, died at 4:50 o'clock, Friday afternoon, at her home in Staunton, after being ill for three months. Most of the time during her illness she was confined to St. Francis Hospital at Litchfield.
She was born on April 25, 1856, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christoff Fischer. She was married to Bruno Hebenstreit on May 18, 1879. Her husband preceded her in death on August 11, 1905.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies' Aid of that church. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Edward Hebenstreit of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Guy Pearson of Wood River. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Paul H. and Henry A. Fischer, and one sister, Mrs. Ernst Weiss of Staunton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock, Monday afternoon, at the Carleton Funeral Home, followed by services at the Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. J.G.F. Kleinhans will officiate. Burial will be at the Staunton City Cemetery.
