CORA G. SNAVELY, 95, of 3705 Chevy Chase Lake Drive, Chevy Chase, Md., died Friday at the Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, after a long illness. Born in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Alice Virginia Drenner Hammond. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Snavely.
She was formerly a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg. She is presently a member of the Chevy Chase United Methodist Church. She served on the board of managers of the Methodist home of the District of Columbia. She was also a member of the Kensington Womens Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hester A. Adams of Chevy Chase.
Services were held at the Osborne Funeral Home, Sharpsburg. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
