*The Britton Journal....Another Former County Resident succumbs in West.... With the passing of Mrs. Delilah Willison, another of Marshall county's pioneer residents has answered the final summons. Mrs. Willison has resided in Spokane, Washington for the past six years. where she passed away in the latter part of April. She was 90 years old at the time of her death. Funeral services were held in Spokane Monday, April 28 at 2 P.M., and were conducted by Rev. Paul Calhoun and the members of the Clara Barton Fortress, GAR, who attended in a body. Mrs Willison was a member of the fortress. The remains were taken back to Minot, N.D., where they were interred beside her husband, H. D. Willison who was a civil war veteran. Mrs. Willison is survived by five daughters, Mrs Pearl Crabtree, of Clark Ford, Ida., Mrs Nellie Ansen of Seattle, Wash., Mrs Bessie McKee, of Great Falls, Mont., and Mrs Blanche Gesler and Mrs Delilah Devereaux, both of Spokane, Wash.; three sons, Walter, of Whitetail. Montana, Carl; of Bellingham, Wash., and D.K. Willison, of Missoula. Mont.; 30 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The Willison family was one of the first to settle on the military reservation and resided in Marshall county for many years. (bio added by aritha buss)
