Joseph Paul Isbill, 90, of 6108 Kentucky 1389, Owensboro, died Sunday, October 9, 1994, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Daviess County to Ernest & Mary Payne Isbill, was a farmer and vegetable seller and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. His wife, Carrie Bell Lambert Isbill, died in 1993. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Walter Isbill, Henry I. Isbill, Mary Ruth Head and Mrs. Bernard (Euphala) Payne. Survivors include a son, Joseph E. Isbill of Owensboro; 3 daughters, Gearline Isbill, Mrs. Robert (Mary Pearl) Vollman and Mrs. Kenneth (Mavis) Cain, all of Owensboro; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Sue Payne of Knottsville. Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen Cathedral. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today.
