Mavis Isbill Cain, 75, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at her home. She was born August 1, 1937 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Paul and Carrie Lambert Isbill. She previously worked at Gabes Tower and retired from Moonlite BBQ as a server. She was a member of St. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed watching University of Kentucky Basketball and fishing at Kentucky Lake. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gearline Isbill. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Kenneth A. Cain, a son, Stephen (Laurie) Cain of Utica, a daughter, Diana (Keith) Cain Ellis of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Brandon Ellis, Lauara Thompson, Chelsea Ellis, three great grandchildren, a brother, Joseph Edward (Sandra) Isbill of Owensboro and a sister, Mary Pearl (Bobby) Vollman of Owensboro. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with Father Carl McCarthy officiating and entombment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 .p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Prayers will be said Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
