Comedy writer and producer. Works included "Yes, Dear," "My Name is Earl," "Dear John," "Coach," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Raising Hope," and "Friend Me." One of his first loves was harness racing. He was a licensed horseman and owned a number of standardbreds. Just days before his death, he resigned his posts as president of the California Harness Horsemen's Association and chairman of the California Standardbred Sires Stakes Program. He was married to actress Vicki Juditz, with whom he had a daughter, Molly.
