The Current Local, Van Buren, Missouri, May 15, 1975, Front Page, Col.1: Guy Walker, 77, Retired Ellsinore Farmer, Died Sunday Afternoon. Alvy Guy Walker, 77-year-old retired Ellsinore farmer, died of an apparent heart attack at 5:15 p.m. Sunday in the Poplar Bluff Hospital after being ill for several months. He was born Oct. 4, 1897, in Taskee, and was raised in the Big Brushy Creek community. On April 16th, 1925, he was married to Lora Parcus at Van Buren. Mr. Walker was a member of the Harmony General Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Black of Trenton; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Million of Granite City, Ill., and two grandchildren. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the McSpadden Funeral Chapel at Ellsinore with Rev. Donnie Black officiating and burial was in the Gresham Cemetery
