Mrs. Lora Walker, 82, of Ellsinore died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 1987, at Shalom Geriatric Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Walker was born May 7, 1905, in Ellsinore, and on April 16, 1925, she was married to Guy Walker in Van Buren. He died in 1975. Mrs. Walker was a lifelong resident of Ellsinore. She was a member of the Free Union Baptist Church and attended Harmony General Baptist Church, both near Ellsinore. Survivors include one daughter, Velma Black of Enid, Okla.; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at McSpadden Funeral Chapel in Ellsinore. The Rev. Edsel Pruitt of Poplar Bluff officiated and burial was in Gresham Cemetery northwest of Ellsinore.
