Anna M. Weber, 88, formerly of 12607 County XX, Newton, Wis., Saturday evening, Sept. 21, 1991 at Calumet Homestead, New Holstein, where she was a resident the past three years. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Rev. Reginald Schrimpf and Deacon James Steffen officiating, preceded by brief family rites at 9:45 am at Meiselvitz Funeral Home, Kiel. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was the former Anna Aulbach, born Feb. 14, 1903 in Germany, daughter of the late Jacob and Marie Pfuhl Aulbach. She attended school in Germany and moved to the United States in 1922. She married the late Fred Weber at Marytown, who passed away and later Claude Weber, who preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1989. The couple farmed near Marytown until 1947 when they moved to Newton, where they also farmed until retiring in 1981. She was member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill and the Christian Mother's Society.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph (Johanna) of Newton, Eugene (Julie) of Cleveland, Andrew, who lives on the homestead farm in Newton, Paul (Lois) of rural Kiel, three daughters, Mrs. Marie (Claude) Lisowe of Jericho, Mrs. Dorothy (Robert) Herr of rural Newton, Mrs. Edna (Roman) Backhaus of St. Nazianz; 28 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth (Vincent) Halbach of New Holstein, Katherine Kraus and Melita Elbert, both of Germany. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters. Friends may call at Meiselvitz Funeral Home, 4 pm to 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 am until the time of service. A wake service will be held at 8 pm Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home.
