Claude P. Weber, 79, of 12607 County XX, Newton, died Thursday evening, November 2,
1989 at Calumet Homestead, New Holstein, where he was a resident for 1 year. Funeral
services will be 10:30 am Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Rev.
Reginald Schrimpf and Deacon James Steffen will officiate, following brief family
rites at 9:45 am at Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel.
Mr. Weber was born March 5, 1910 at Marytown, son of the late Michael and Sophia Heus
Weber. He attended school at Marytown. He married Anna Aulbach, November 25, 1935 at
Marytown. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 1985. They farmed
in Marytown until 1847 when they moved to Newton where they farmed until retiring in
1981. Mr. Weber also worked at Kohler Company for a number of years. He was a member
of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Anna of Calumet Homestead; four sons, Joseph (Johanna) of
Newton, Andrew of Newton, Eugene (Julie) of Cleveland, Paul (Lois) of rural Kiel;
three daughters, Mrs. Marie (Claude) Lisowe of Jericho, Mrs. Dorothy (Robert) Herr of
Newton, Mrs. Edna (Roman) Backhaus of St. Nazianz; a sister, Mrs. Marcella (Robert)
Casper of Fond du Lac; 28 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by 3 brothers.
Friends may call at Mieselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, 3 pm to 9 pm Sunday and Monday from
8 am until the time of services. A wake service will be 8 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home.
