Mrs. Joseph Wasmer, 83, of Rt. 1, Kiel, died Thursday at Family Heritage Home, Manitowoc, of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Christianson Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, and at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. The Rev. H.G. Messmer will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wasmer, the former Mary Brotz, was born at Sheboygan March 12, 1885, daughter of the late George and Mary Herman Brotz. She was married to Mr. Wasmer April 30, 1912, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Spring Valley. They resided for 23 years at St. Nazianz and later in the Town of Meeme. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors include the husband, a son, Edward Jr., of Spring Valley; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jeanette) Jetzer, of Tampa, Fla., Miss Marie Wasmer, of Sheboygan and Mrs. John (Helen) Starkl and Mrs. Hugo (Adeline) Bunke, of Milwaukee; 29 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A son preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where at 8 p.m. the
Rosary will be recited by the CMS and parish members.
