patient the past three days. Funeral services will be 9:45 am Friday at
Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel and 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
School Hill. Rev. Reginald Schrimpf will officiate and burial will be in the
church cemetery.
The former Rose Wendel was born September 4, 1910 at Marytown, Wisconsin, daughter
of the late Anton and Juliana Mueller Wendel. She attended Marytown Schools. She
married Henry Schneider on August 27, 1933 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New
Holstein. The couple farmed in the Town of Meeme, retiring in 1972. He preceded
her in death on February 24, 1984. Mrs. Schneider was a member of Holy Trinity
Catholic Church, School Hill.
Survivors include two sons, Allen of rural Newton and Richard of New Holstein; three
daughters, Mrs. Diane Faust of Newton, Elaine Schneider at home and Rita Schneider
of Lancaster, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, 4 pm to 9 pm Thursday and Friday
from 8 am to the time of services. Parish wake service at 8 pm Thursday evening at
the funeral home.
