Arthur H. Lange, age 87, of 13812 Point Creek Road, Newton, died Saturday morning,
November 2, 1996, at Willowdale Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, New
Holstein, where he had been a resident since January of 1996.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 4, 1996, at Holy Trinity
Catholic Church, School Hill. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be
Rev. Cyril Dickrell with burial in the church cemetery.
Arthur was born August 12, 1909, in Greenbush, Wis., son of the late Herman and Mary
Gross Lange. He attended school in the Plymouth area. On May 2, 1936, he married
Lucille Fischer in St. Nazianz. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
this year. The couple farmed in the town of Meeme until his retirement. After his
retirement he did whitewashing of farm buildings in the area and also worked for the
town of Meeme. He is a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; one daughter, Sandra (Alois) Riesterer, Newton;
five grandchildren, Pamela (Tom) Reindl, Brian (Shari) Riesterer, Trudel (Peter)
Moehring, Lonna (Al) Lange, Jason Riesterer; eight great-grandchildren; one brother,
Alfred "Jerry" and Violet Lange, Milwaukee; one sister, Mabel Gumowski, Milwaukee;
one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy Deehr, Manitowoc. He was preceded
in death by two sisters, one infant grandson, and an infant granddaughter.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel, from 4-8 p.m.
Sunday (TONIGHT) and Monday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. when brief
family rites will be held. A parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at
the funeral home.
