ERVIN KOENIG, SR.
Ervin Koenig, Sr., 66, of 15032 W. Washington Road, Cleveland, died unexpectedly Saturday evening, December 23, 1989 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan. He was born June 13, 1923 in the Town of Meeme, son of Peter and Anna Brost Koenig. On June 7, 1947 he married Lucille Hoefler at St. Anna. He farmed the homestead farm in the town of Meeme and was also employed at Tecumseh Products, New Holstein, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill; the men's club and the Ada Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; five sons, Peter (Trucy) Koenig of Howards Grove; David (Bonnie) Koenig of New Holstein; Dale (Lori) Koenig of Kiel; Ervin Jr. of Newton; Kevin (Lori) of Sheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. Sharon (Joe) Kauth, of Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado; Mrs. Kaye (Dean) Dietrich of Kiel; Mrs. Mary Jo (Guy) Grube of Kiel; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Jerome (Dorothy) of Cleveland; Rolland (LuAnn) of Sheboygan; three sisters, Mrs. Elanor Waller of School Hill; Mrs. Jeanette (Robert) Olig of Sheboygan; Mrs. Juanita Riesterer, Steinthal. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The funeral mass for Ervin will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, December 27, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, with the Rev. Reginald Schrimpf, pastor and Deacon Jim Steffen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church, Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of services. Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel is in charge of arrangements.
