JOHN "JACK" GEORGE
CONNOR, passed away in Lethbridge
on March 4th, 1988, after a lengthy
illness, at (he age of 83 years, beloved
husband of Edith Connor of
Lethbridge. -Jack was born in Minot,
North Dakota, October llth, 1904.
Jack moved to Taber with his
parents in 1907, from there they
moved to the Sundial area where he
farmed with his father.
He married Edith Mary Powis on
January 1st, 1929 and farmed on the
Little Bow River until 1939, when they
moved to the Retlaw area. In 1965 he
retired In Lethbridge and lived here
until his passing.
Jack had a great love for his family
and spent many enjoyable hours with
them and the grandchildren.
Besides his loving wife, Edith, John
s survived by three daughters, Mrs.
Austin (Edith) Jorgensen of Iron
Springs, Mrs. Harlan (Patricia)
Waddle of Lethbridge, and MrsDale
(Dorothy) Rombough of Vauxhall;
two sons, Jack (Isabella) of Calgary
and Tom (Linda) of Turin; 21 grand
children and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents,
William and Julia Sheets and a
Brother.
Funeral Services were held
on Tuesday, March 8th,
1988, in McKlllop United Church, 2329
15th Avenue South, with Rev. L. D.
Hankinson officiating. Interment to
follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
