Jacob Robinett was born in Ohio, either in 1812 or 1821, married Permelia Morgan, 16 March 1848 in Laurenceberg, Dearborn County, Indiana. They adopted Lucien Garrett in Coles County, Illinois in Sept. 1852. They also had a daughter, Jane, and another son, John Stephen Douglas Robinette, called Doug. They moved in 1865 to western edge of Iowa and lived on Blue Lake in Monona County for years. Sometime later they moved across the Missouri River to Nebraska, where Jacob died. Burial records show him to be in the Bancroft City Cemetery. I believe there is no grave marker.
