David Griffis. First he was born about 1812 in Ohio. This is from censuses. His first wife, Lydia Parkhurst. She was also from Ohio, born about 1816 she died Sept 1859 in Walnut Township,Wayne, Iowa of typhoid. Two of her daughters died in September and August of typhoid also. He married his second wife, Elizabeth M Watts (1838-1908) in Missouri in 1860 and they had a whole second family. He had 8 children by his first wife including Isaac Newton Griffis also in Antioch Cemetery. The second wife only had 7 children
