Rites for Alvin Davis Held at Lizton Saturday

Alvin Harold Davis, age 51, died at his home in Lizton last Thursday, following failing health for more than a year from heart trouble. About a year ago, Mr. Davis suffered a heart attack while in the field with his threshing equipment.

Funeral services were held at the Lizton Methodist church, Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. John W. Barkley. Burial was in the K. of P. cemetery.

For many years, Mr. Davis had conducted a threshing outfit and a saw mill in the Lizton vicinity until last year when he established a repair shop in Lizton. For a number of years he was assessor of Union township.

The deceased was born near Clermont. On October 20, 1911, he married Lida Marsh. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, and Red Men's Lodges.

Surviving are the widow, one son, Albert, of Lizton, a grandson, William Max, mother, Mrs. Etta Davis, three brothers, Herman, Orville, and Floyd, and two sisters, Alta and Pearl.
