Christian Charity died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at
Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of
Christian Burial will be the Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem with burial
at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Blanche Walsh was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Potosi, Wis.,
daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Wallenhorst Walsh.
She entered the convent in 1927 and professed her vows in 1930. Sister
Patricia Ann earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Norbert College,
De Pere, and a Master of Education degree from Marquette University,
Milwaukee, Sister Patricia Ann served as a teacher and/or principal at
St. John, Antigo; St. Joseph, Waukesha; St. Joseph, Kellnersville; St.
Mary, Clarks Mills; Sacred Heart, Oshkosh; St. Paul, Manitowoc; St. Pius
X., Appleton; all of Wisconsin; and St. Agnes, Mingo Junction, Ohio.
She also served as a librarian at St. Agnes, Green Bay. Since 1996, she
has been a resident of St. Rita Health Center at the Motherhouse. She is
a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include: The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; a
sister: Patricia Langmeier, Prairie du Chien, Wis.; two brothers and
three sisters-in-law; Donald and Helen Walsh, Marvin and Dorothy David,
Potosi, Wis.; and Isabelle Walsh, Dubuque, Iowa. Nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday where a
prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is
assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
