Sister M. Robert Vogel, 91,of Holy Family Convent, Rt. 5, Manitowoc,
died Monday at the convent.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Convent
Chapel. The Rev. Ferdinand DuPont will officiate and burial will be
in the convent cemtery.
Sister M. Robert, nee Teresa Vogel, was born Sept. 10, 1881, at Whitelaw,
daughter of the late John and Mary Spaeth Vogel. She entered the Order of
the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in 1899 and professed her vows
in 1901. She served the order as a music teacher at Lindsay, Neb., Yuma
and Komathke, Ariz., Auburndale, Sherwood, Hilbert, Rhinelander, Manistique,
Oshkosh, Menominee, Mich., Hollandtown, Petoskey, Mich., Blommington, Ill.,
Reedsville and Manitowoc.
Survivors include three brothers, Bernard, of Manitowoc, Frank, of Rt. 4,
Manitowoc, and Richard, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the convent from 2 to 9 o'clock this Tuesday and
Wednesday prior to the time of service. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
is in charge of arrangements.
