Obituary: Laura Blevins, 79, of Valley Station, died Monday at Humana Hospital- Southwest.
She was the former Laura Smith, a native of Grayson County. She was a former cook for Mike Linnig's Restaurant and the old Leonhart's Restaurant in Shively and a member of South Jefferson Baptist Church.
Survivors: a son, Tom Blevins; a daughter, Irma Jennings of La Place, La.; three stepsons, Elzy Blevins of New Albany, Ind., Pat Blevins of Bullitt County and Richard Blevins; a stepdaughter, Emma Crumpton of Georgetown, Ind.; a brother, Raymond Oller of Dallas; four sisters, Lottie Cook, Fannie Dunn, Nina Oakes and Emily Dawson; 24 grandchildren; and 30 great- grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, W. G. Hardy Valley Funeral Home, 10907 Dixie Highway. Burial: Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday.
