Charles Kenneth Hodges was born March 18, 1926, in Redlands, California, to Charles Francis and Loie Pearl (Porter) Hodges. At the age of one, his Mother and siblings moved to the Porter home place near Davidson. He attended Henderson Consolidated #3 School, south of Frederick. Kenneth served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was stationed in Germany. On July 9, 1948, he and Blanche Lucille Harness were united in marriage in Frederick. She preceded him in death on December 10, 1992. He farmed and ranched in the Tillman County area and later worked in construction. He also served as Tillman County Commissioner for many years. He was a member of the Davidson First Baptist Church and was an ordained minister where he supplied in pulpits for churches in the area.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Marie Hodges of Davidson; three daughters and sons-in-law: Carolyn McIntosh, Annette and Herb Flatt and Marlene and Danny Montoya all of Davidson; one sister, Anita "Toot" Givens of Stillwater; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Charles Kenneth Hodges, Jr., one brother, Mearl Hodges; and four sisters, Edna Hodges, Edith Hodges, Alice Wallace and Jane Wynn.
