. E. Bazemore, age 83 of Dibble, passed away Monday October 1, 2012. J.E. was born August 24, 1929 on the family homestead near Dibble. He was the middle child of 3 born to Asa Marshall Bazemore and Maybelle Jernigan Bazemore. J.E. attended Dibble Schools and graduated in 1946. He joined the United States Navy and served his country proudly on the USS Princeton during the Korean War. J.E. married the love of his life; a young lady from Purcell named Patricia Ann Underwood. Together they raised 5 children; daughters, Cheryl and Karen and sons, Jeff, Gary and Steve. J.E. loved the Bazemore family farm and his passion was to be a farmer. He was a hard worker and a good provider. J.E. worked for the McClain County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff, retiring after more than 15 years. J.E. loved his family and especially enjoyed spoiling his grandkids. He was a longtime member of the Iron Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years.

He was preceded in death by: His wife, Patricia Ann Bazemore; His parents, Asa and Maybelle Bazemore and His brother, Asa Bazemore Jr.

J.E. leaves behind: His sons, Jeff Bazemore of Dibble; Gary Bazemore and wife Anita of Dibble and Steve Bazemore and wife Christine of Norman; His daughters, Cheryl Walker of League City, TX and Karen Corson and husband Dan of Dickinson, TX; His sister, Carolyn Blocker of Aransas Pass, TX; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and Many other family and friends
