Claudia Burl Cowley, 68, of Ralls passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 25, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Ralls, with Rev. Judy Shema officiating. Burial will follow at Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home-Ralls.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home from 6 - 7 P.M., Wednesday, October 24th.
Claudia was born on March 20, 1944, in Lubbock TX, to C.L. and Margie (Griffith) Cowley. She married Carol Hirst whom preceded her in death on November 5, 1995; Claudia lived in Ralls, attended the First United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for several years, she also served on the Ralls ISD and Museum board, was twice awarded Women of the Year, Executive Director of Caprock Community Action. Claudia enjoyed spending time with her family, and was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many.
Preceded in death by her father, C.L. Cowley, Jr., her husband, Carol Hirst.
Survivors include her mother, Margie Cowley of Lubbock, her daughter, Macy Cavazos and her husband Mateo of Ralls, one son, Shawn Littlefield and his wife Angie of Lubbock, one sister, Jan Davidson and her husband Bobby of Lubbock, two nieces, Dee Dee Davidson and Shawna Shields, five grandchildren, Hannah, Grace and Caleb Cavazos of Ralls, Parker and Presley Littlefield of Lubbock.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Aunie Sellers, Gene Smith, Wayne Crump, James Jester, Bill Lyle, David Prewitt, Lloyd Arthur and Joe Heflin.
