OLD TOWN-Catherine E. Adams, 90, died October 21, 2012 at a Howland health care facility. She was born Oct 3, 1922 in Old Town a daughter of Floyd and Nellie (Bloomburg) Bradford.
Catherine graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1939 and married Seth Adams in 1942. While Seth served in the military during WWII, Catherine worked in local mills. In the 1960s, Catherine returned to work and was employed at the University of Maine, food service, until her retirement in 1984.
She is survived by her three sons and their families: Seth Adams Jr and his wife Beverly of Orrington, David Adams and his wife Rosemary of Barrington, RI; and Nathan Adams of North Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Vickie Merchant and her husband Alan of Levant, Roger Adams and his wife Kathy of Hermon, Wayne Adams and his wife Traci of Orrington, Jessica Sulzen of Olathe, KS and Julie Campanini of Barrington, RI and grandson-in-law William Wheeler of Orrington ; great grandchildren Ben, Eric, Seth, and Shelby Wheeler, Mike and Matt Merchant, Meghan Kidd and her husband Charles , Miles and Delaney Adams, Ainsley Sulzen , Bella and Ian Campanini; three nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Seth on Aug 27, 2010 and a granddaughter Deborah Wheeler on Aug 4, 2010 and a brother Lesley Bradford, sister Alice Bradford.
