Edward Monie, age 73 died Sunday, July 08, 2012 at his residence in Marquand, MO. He was born on October 20, 1938 in Marquand, the youngest child of Arthur and Carrie Mae Rauls Monie.
Survivors include his wife, Lila Bradley as well as his son, Jim Monie and daughter, Denise Smith, all of Marquand. Step-children include John Cochran of Illinois, Rick Miles, Rhonda Senter and Rebecca Malimski. Siblings include Glenn Monie of Idaho, Ann Combs of Fredericktown, Roseda Mouser of Marquand and Kathryn Kaehr of Indiana. Three grandchildren also survive.
Preceding Mr. Monie in death were his parents, his oldest brother, Russell Monie and a step-son.
Mr. Monie served in the U. S. Navy and was a welder, farmer, truck driver and small business owner.
Services will be at Moore's Chapel Cemetery at a later date.
