Florida Pioneer and Their Descendants Vol. 1 complied by Anne Wood Taylor - Indexed by Mary Lee Barnes Harrell - Florida State Genealogical Society 1992 shows the following info.

Aaron Tison was born on 11 September 1803 at Glynn County, Georgia. He was the son of Job Tison and Sidnah Sheffield. He married Louisa Jane Dell, born 3 February 1804 at Green County , Georgia, on 16 January 1825. Aaron appears on the 1830 census of Alachua County, Florida , near the Santa Fe River. Territorial Papers list him as a signer of petitions in each of the five volumes. His death on 2 December 1840 left Louisa with five children to raise. Their son , William O. Tison served in the Florida Mounted Volunteers during the Indian Wars of 1857-1858

Family tradition has it that Aaron Tison, was riding his horse on his land, the horse threw him and he died from a broken neck and they buried him there.
