Louisa married Aaron Tison on January 16, 1825, in Wayne County, Florida. Aaron and Lousia moved to Alachua County, Florida about 1827. On December 1, 1840, Aaron was killed when he was throw from a horse, leaving a widow and 5 children to raise. She later married Shadrack Hancock. Family tradition says that they never lived together for even lenght of time. In 1870 she was living with her son William Tison, and grandaughter Mary J. Russell, in Columbia County, Florida.
Shadrick Hancock died on May 2, 1855, and buried in the orginial Mt. Tabor Cemetery, in Columbia County, Florida.
