Wilma C. Walker, 72, of 13867 Dickeys Road, Mercersburg, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 25, in the Franklin County Nursing Home, Chambersburg. She had been a guest at the nursing home since Nov 1988.

Born April 11, 1917, in Welsh Run, she was the daughter of the late C. Omar and Elsie F. (Shives) Blair.

For a number of years, Mrs. Walker worked as a seamstress at the former Mercersburg Dress Co., and she was last employed at Uwanna Wash & Wear in Fort Loudon.

Her husband, Harvey W. Walker, died in April 1982.

Mrs. Walker was a member of Charlestown United Methodist Church, Cove Gap. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of the adult Sunday school class.

Surviving are three sisters, Verna Mowen of Waynesboro of Waynesboro, Catherine Black of Chambersburg and Janet Taylor of Greencastle; five brothers, Irvin S. Blair of Hagerstown, John E. Blair, Dean R. Blair, Thomas E. Blair and Richard O. Blair, all of Greencastle; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Charlestown United Methodist Church with the Rev. James A. Dile officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

Friends may call at the Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlestown United Methodist Church Building Fund, 138256 Buchanan Trail West, Mercersburg, Pa 17236.
