ALONZO KIRCHNER
Alonzo (Herkey) Kirchner, 46, of Route 3, Victoria, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in a local hospital after an illness of several days.
A resident of Victoria County for 40 years, he was born April 13, 1922, in Yorktown. A member of Faith Baptist Church, he was employed by Wells Service, Inc.
Mr. Kirchner is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Kirchner of Victoria; two daughters, Rhonda Lea and Cynthia Louise Kirchner of Victoria; a son, Alonzo Dale Kirchner of Victoria; his mother, Mrs. Elsa Hoffman Kirchner of Alvin; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Leenhardt and Mrs. Robert Bleeker, both of Alvin; and a brother, Albert J. Kirchner of victoria.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Duckett Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Charles D. Tillery of Shreveport officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert and Albert C. Kirchner, Robert Parker, Fred Postert, Russell Putnam and J. W. Sigsbee. Honorary pallbearers will be C. R. Plunkett, E. F. Henning, Harry Chamrad, Ted Strmiska, C. W. Smith and B. M. Dugat.
