GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1957

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Greensburg Baptist Church for William Henry Tucker, 84, who died Thursday, October 24 [1957] in a Danville hospital, after a long illness. Rev. J.V. Case was in charge of services assisted by Rev. V.A. Jones. Burial was in the Greensburg Cemetery. Mr. Tucker was born in Green Co. November 25, 1872 and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Alice Simpson Tucker, he is survived by 7 daughters, Mrs. Ezra Adkins, Greensburg; Mrs. Joseph Dunn, New York City; Mrs. Vernon Yarberry, Columbia; Mrs. William Burd, and Mrs. Joseph Gowen, Hodgenville; Mrs. Holman Goff and Mrs. Doye Davenport, Greensburg; 1 son Henry Rhea Tucker, Buffalo; a sister, Mrs. Stewart Gupton, Greensburg; 1 brother, Ernest Tucker, Greensburg; 28 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Thomas Goff, Jackie and Johnnie Adkins, Curt Yarberry, Vernon Tucker Yarberry and Jesse Holman Goff.
