Janet Wheeler Ferguson, 79, passed away on October 16, 2012 at her home in Lehi surrounded by her family. She was born on May 10, 1933 in Mapleton, Utah, the daughter of Elmer David Wheeler and Beulah Florence Stone. She was raised by her grandmother Florence Stone and also her Aunts in a very loving home with her brother, sister and many cousins.

She enjoyed friendships with her classmates at Springville High class of 1951. Janet married Glen Smith Ferguson on Sept. 5, 1950 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on January 21, 1966. She was a member of the LDS Church was the 2nd Ward Librarian for many years and held other various callings.

Her hobbies include quilting, knitting, crocheting, cooking, canning, bread making, singing, dancing, collecting bells and dolls. She would often leave a fresh loaf of bread and jam on the car seat of those that would come and visit her. She was an avid genealogist for many years.

She is survived by her sons; Gary (Lorneta) of Toquerville, Larry (Susan) of Lehi, Kevin (Cindy) of Lehi, Randy (Sandy) of Quincy, IL, daughters; Annette Ferguson of Salt Lake, SherryLyn (Paul) Custance of Lehi, 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, brother Glen Wheeler, Aunt Norma Johnson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Bradley Kevin Ferguson and sister Erma Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the Lehi 2nd Ward Chapel, 465 East 300 North. Family and friends may call Thursday evening, October 25 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi and one hour prior to services on Friday morning at the church. Special thanks to all the friends and neighbors and those who brought the Sacrament to her home each week. All the loving care from the at home health care givers allowing Mom to remain at home the last several years of her life and all her friends at the Morgan Activity Center.
