Dec 24, 1931 - Carroll Daily Herald - Mrs. Hugo Leichti, for most of her life a resident of this vicinity, died Tuesday afternoon at her home near Nemaha, following a stroke of paralysis sustained last Sunday and other complications.
Mrs. Leichti, who was 42 years old at the time of her death, was formerly Miss Oriana Knowlton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Knowlton. She was born at the Knowlton home six miles west of Carroll, June 19, 1889. After her marriage to Mr. Leichti the family continued to reside here until the spring of 1921 until they moved to Sac City. A year and a half ago they moved to Nemaha.
Besides her husband Mrs. Leichti is survived by four children: Roy, Wilbur and Florence at home and Alice (Mrs. McGilvary) who lives south of Sac City. Four brothers and two sisters also survive. They are Joe, Albert and Herbert Knowlton of Colorado and Sheldon of Mason City; Mrs. John Leichti and Mrs. Otto Leichti, living west of Carroll.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., at the home and at 1:30 from the Methodist Episcopal church at Nemaha. The body will be brought to Carroll for burial in the city cemetery here.
