Obituary - Claron Daniel Covington passed away on October 28, 1998, at the age of 80, in Ogden Utah.

Claron was born April 27, 1918, in Torrey, Utah, to Daniel Nathan Covington and Leona Heath. He married Leah Opal Taylor on December 24, 1938, and their marriage was solemnized on July 1, 1941, in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served 17 years as a Scout Master, and in the Bishopric. He filled four missions, and several years as a temple ordinance worker.

He is survived by his wife, Leah Opal Covington; sister, Velma Reed; children, Dan (Linda) Covington, Elden (Arlene) Covington, Vaughn Covington, Carla (Bruce) Westbroek, and Velene (John) Chavez; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Covington, Sheral Ross Covington, Van Dee Covington, Darrell Heath Covington; and sister Melba Darlene Covington.

Funeral services will be Monday November 2, 1998, at 12 noon at the South Weber 4th Ward, 7989 S. 2250 East, South Weber. Friends and family may call Monday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Estates Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
