Jesse Hall Summoned by Death
Jesse D. Hall, 69, died last night at 7:45 o'clock at King's Daughters' hospital following an illness of only a week duration.
Mr. Hall was a native of Carroll county, Ky., but had lived in Madison the past 50 years. He was a retired foreman at the tack factory, and when a young man was active in the former state militia, now the National Guard. He was also an active member of the Odd Fellows lodge.
He is survived by a daughter and three sons, Mrs. Bertha Smith, Jerome and Charles Hall, all of city city, and Jesse Hall, Jr., with the U.S. Navy at Washington, D.C.; a brother, Harrison Hall, living in California; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Bright, of Madison; three half-brothers and a half-sister, William and Robert Hall, and Mrs. Nellie Messmore, of this city, and Clarence Hall of Dayton, O.; also six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
HIs wife, the late Mrs. Aline Hall, preceded him in death eight years ago. Mr. Hall had lately made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Smith, at 217 Walnut street.
Services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Gans funeral home, and burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
