Kenneth Anderson, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Anderson, died after an extended illness.
Atchison Daily Globe May, 1922

The death of Kenneth Anderson, Wednesday night, 19 years of age, of Atchison, was particularly sad. Kenneth was the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson lived in Effingham a number of years and has relatives and a host of friends here. Some time ago it was learned Kenneth had tuberculosis. At his own request he was taken to Arizona, but instead of improving he gradually grew worse and the doctors advised he be brought back to Atchison. Mrs. Anderson and Kenneth made the trip by rail. Mrs. Anderson made the trip with that terrible dread that he might not live to reach home. Mr. Anderson and Mildred come back in the car. Kenneth only lived a few days after his arrival in Atchison and death came to him before the arrival of his father and sister. He was conscious until the very last and very solicitous that his mother her needed rest. Within a minute after urging her to go to bed, that he was better and would call her if he felt worse, he went to sleep to awaken into the Mansion prepared by Him who said, "I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am you may be also." Kenneth had been a member of the Christian church for a number of years and he was a fine young man. Funeral services were held in Atchison and interment made in the family lot in Effingham. Besides h is parents, he is survived by his sisters half brother of Sunnyside, Washington, and a half sister Mrs. Albert Anderson Hammerly, of Manhattan.
