Mustered out Feb. 27, 1865 in Indianapolis, IN with rank of Corporal. Notes: Was an active participant at Ft. Donelson, Shiloh, Corinth, Stone River, and Chickamauga. He was a prisoner in Andersonville, GA from Sep. 19, 1863, until his exchange Nov. 14, 1864, as Hathernay. Promoted 6th Corporal. Mustered out on expiration of term of service. Married Susan Bolton 1865 in Whitley Co., IN. He filed Invalid Pension Application to receive Pension Certificate #103974 Jun. 25, 1869 and received $6 pension for abcs. great toe. Resident of Allison, Lawrence Co., IL, 1880; of Robison, Crawford Co., IL, 1889-1910. Died Sep. 13, 1916, in Trimble, Crawford Co., IL; buried there in Hutsonville (New) Cemetery, Lot 50. Susan filed Widowfs Pension Application to receive Widowfs Pension Certificate #818626 Sep. 21, 1916, in IL.
