Anchor - (PSN) - Mrs. Anna Margaret Brandt, 64, died at 12:24 p.m. Thursday at Gibson Community Hospital in Gibson City IL. Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Church near Anchor IL, with the Rev. Alexander Youck officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Sibley IL. Visitation was to begain at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City IL. Mrs. Brandt was born May 6, 1892, in Sibley IL, a daughter of Helmer and May (Meta) Gronewald Huisman. She was married to Henry M. Brandt March 16, 1909 in Sibley. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Viola Brookstra, Elgin; Mrs. Bernice Shreves, Paxton; Mrs. Mildred Jamison, Elliott; Miss Norma, Sibley; two sons, Louie, Tremont; Albert, Sibley; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Farney, Pontiac; Mrs. Lizzie Beck, MI; Mrs. Tom Ross, Hutchinson MN; Mrs. Grace Towner, Litchfield; a brother, Elmer Huisman, Forrest IL. She was preceded in death by a brother.

The daughter of Helmer and Meta Gronewald Huisman, she married Henry M. Brandt, Jr. in 1910. They farmed 6 miles northwest of Gibson City IL until 1935 when Henry bought the Troyer farm near Sibley in Ford Co., IL. They were parents of six children:
