Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Walker, OFM Cap. Burial will be in the Convent Cemetery.
Sister Rolf, nee Cecelia Rolf was born Sept. 16, 1904, at Woodsville, Wis., daughter of the late ????? and ????(bad spot on reel) Kersten Rolf. She entered the convent in 1920, professing her vows on Aug. 15, 1923. She received her high school education at Holy Family Academy, Manitowoc. Sister received her nursing diploma at Holy Family Nursing School, Manitowoc, and received her B.A. in Nursing from Marquette University, Milwaukee. She also received her registration for registered nurse in Wisconsin and Nebraska. She served in the operating rooms at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, at St. Joseph Home Hospital and St. Francis Memorial Hospital, West Point, Neb., for 47 years. She also served at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, and Ozanam, New Berlin, for nine years. Sister was a general helper at St. Peter Convent, Ashton, St. Agnes, Green Bay, and St. Pius, Appleton. She retired in 1981.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Charity; a brother, Justin W. Rolf of Green Bay; three sisters, Sister Irmina Rolf of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, Mrs. Clara Thomas and Mrs. Milton (Lucina) Francois of Green Bay.
Friends may call at Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.
