Christina (sic) Dewald, 85, passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital, Concordia, Ks., March 29, 1958. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dewald and born in June, 1872 (sic), in Minnesota. She came to Thayer County with her parents at the age of 6, in a covered wagon.
She has made her home here since then, with the exception of the past ten months, which she spent in St. Ann's Home in Concordia. She spent most of her life as a nurse, caring for the sick in and around Hebron.
Survivors are one brother, A.J. Dewald of Santa Ana, Calif., and several nephews and nieces including Delia Rauner and Coletta Kriley of Stockton, Ks. Walter Gregor of Hastings; Alice Worm of Hebron and Ralph Dewalt of Alexandria.
Funeral services and Requiem High Mass was conducted at Sacred Heart Church in Hebron and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
