Mr. Zettler arrive in Columbus, Ohio in 1837, opened a grocery store in 1844 and was operating a porkpacking business in 1856. Mr. Zettler was a Columbus City Councilman during 1871 - 1872 and the police commissioner during 1875 - 1877. In 1886 he established the Zettler Hardware Company that is still in operation today.
