Marcus Paulson, son of Ole and Helga/Helen Jorgensdatter Paulson, was born in Riverview Township on May 31, 1881. He was baptized July 17, 1881 at Roscoe Congregation; Confirmed on August 19, 1894 at Roscoe & Concordia Congregation (Hasvold Schoolhouse). He attended grade school in Moody County. He was united in marriage to Bedilla Larson on November 19, 1914. They farmed in Riverview Township until 1958 when they moved into Flandreau. He was a member of the Clare Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Hilda, Flandreau and a brother, Olaf, of Yankton; five nephews and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a son Oliver who died in 1925.

Date and place of service: Monday, July 1, 1963; 10:30 am at Our Savior's Lutheran Church
