She was born October 31, 1932, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late John Nelson and Sarah Margaret Deems.
Mrs. Dennis was a 1950 graduate of California High School.
For many years, she was a nurse's aide for HRS Health Care and also was a foster parent and caregiver until her retirement in 2003.
Mrs. Dennis was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church, Coal Center.
Surviving are eight sons, Don Cree (Mary Jane) of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Stanley T. Cree, Bud Menzer (Susan), John Menzer (Ramona), Ben Dennis and Rob Dennis (Stacey), all of Monongahela, Ramon Dennis of Monroeville and Ricky Dennis of Monongahela; two daughters, Jan Cree (Michelle Ross) and Kimberly Velmer, both of Monongahela; a brother, Gene Deems (Wanda) of West Pike Run Township; four sisters, Sis Colvin (Ray) of Fallowfield Township, Edie Sosnak (Bernard) of Coal Center, Kaye Mowrey (John) of Bethel Park and Karen Walsh (Charles) of Annapolis, Md.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are three brothers, John "Bub," Charles "Lindy" and Darrell "Babe" Deems.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, with Pastor Randy Landman officiating.
Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
