Alfred Altwine, 79, formerly of Cheyenne, Wyo., died yesterday at 6 a.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Paul Stone, 40 Orchard Lane, Huntington, Ind., after eight months illness. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife Emma, two daughters, Mrs. Stone, at whose home he died, and Mrs. Ralph C. Smith of North Eaton; two sons, Harold of Boise, Idaho; and Marlin of Mishawaka, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons.
Friends will be received at the Russell D. Fulton Funeral Home, Grafton, tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard R. Hilsabeck, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge cemetery.
