Grafton-Mrs. Emma H. Altwine, 77, of 95 North Ave Belden Rd., died today in Elyria Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Altwine was born in Nebraska and had lived in this community six years, coming from Wyoming. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church. her husband, Alfred, died in 1965.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Smith at whose home she lived and Mrs. Paul Stone of Norwalk, Conn.; two sons, Harold of Milton-Freewater, Ore., and Marlin of Mishawaka, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Kuhl, Redwood City, Calif. and Mrs. Hattie Nelson, Western, Neb. and three brothers, Emil Gugat of California, William Gugat of Portland, Ore. and Arthur of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by two sons and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Russell D. Fulton Funeral Home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. M. Charles Groth will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
