Sister Carolla Nenahlo, age 99, a member of the Franciscan sisters of
Christian Charity, died Sunday evening, Nov. 6, 2005, at Holy Family
Convent, Manitowoc.
The former Anna Marie Nenahlo was born March 28, 1906, in Reedsville,
daughter of the late Charles and Caroline Kubale Nenahlo. She entered
the convent in 1919, and professed her vows in 1924. Sister Carolla
served as a homemaker at St. Mary, Kaukauna; St. Ann, New Holstein; St.
Wendel, Cleveland; all of Wisconsin; St. Nicholas, Zanesville; Good
Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville; St. Sylvester, Woodsfield; all of Ohio;
St. Joseph Home, West Point, Neb., and St. Francis, Petoskey, Mich. She
also served in the bakery and laundry at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Since 1995, she has been residing in St. Rita Health Center at the
motherhouse. She is a member of the Franciscan sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc, from 4-8 p.m. this Tuesday (Today), Nov. 8, 2005, where a
prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 200, at
Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of
Christian burial will be the Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O. Praem with burial
at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is
assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
