Williamsburg Resident Dies

Williamsburg-Mrs. Mamie Gilbert, 85 of Williamsburg died Friday at Grand Traverse Medical Care Facility.

Mrs Gilbert had been a resident of the Williamsburg area 41 years, moving there from Detroit and was a member of Williamsburg Methodist Church, WSCA and Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving are the husband, Clarence; a daughter, Mrs Madeliene Mears of Holt; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Denstaedt of Mason; and four sisters, Mrs Florence E. Moore of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs Estella Smith and Mrs. Esther Smith and Mrs Grace E. Regentine of Traverse City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gilbert will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Holt Chapel of Estes-Leadley funeral home, Rev. Philip R. Glotfelty Jr. of Holt Methodist Church officiating, with burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt.
