Josephine Stickney Ahart, 77, Eldon, died Aug. 18, 2001, in Jefferson City. She was born Dec. 30, 1923, in Eldon, a daughter of Charles and Stella Beard Stickney. She was married in 1939 to George M. Carroll, who died Dec. 1, 1998. She was married in 1972, to James Ahart, who died May 7, 1995.

She was a homemaker and worked in the Eldon area. A life-long resident of the Eldon Area, she attended church in Eldon.

Survivors include: one son, Ronald Carroll, Bloomington, Calif.; one daughter, Brenda Morris, Eldon; four sisters, Phyllis Green, Argrita Whittle and Treva Flaugher, all of Eldon, and Lyndall Stickney, Waynesville; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Gene Cain will officiate. Burial will be in the Eldon City Cemetery, Eldon. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
